Dr. Kate Short

Identifying the root cause & treating the whole person

Dr. Kate Short firmly believes in the naturopathic principles and practices an integrative approach that utilizes conventional treatments when appropriate. The two principles she identifies with most are tolle causam and tolle totum – identify and treat the cause and treat the whole person.

Dr. Kate feels it is important that her patient’s voices are heard. She listens with compassion and appreciates each person’s unique story. Her goal is to create an individualized treatment plan with the patient that will work best for them.

Dr. Kate as “The Helper”

Dr. Kate’s desire to help others has played an influential role in her life from the time she was a young child. Her dream of becoming a pediatrician, just like her grandfather, began when she was 5 years old. She coined herself “The Helper” and made business cards to hand out to the neighbors by the age of 7.

Parent/Caregiver Consults:

Please do keep in mind that although Dr. Kate Short is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the State of Washington, she will only be able to provide consultation, not medical advice during the PediaChat discussions.
